CANTIAMO INSIEME Children's Concerto Series 1st Benefit Concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center Features Preschool and Young Students Performing in Italian! Proceeds from "Cantiamo Insieme" Children's Concerto to benefit education for Italian American Women
New York City, November 2007 - The magnificent Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center was the venue for the first "Cantiamo Insieme" Children's Concerto, an enchanting musical celebration in Italian benefiting the National Organization of Italian American Women (NOIAW). On Sunday, December 2nd at 11am, over 100 preschool and young children celebrated the Italian culture and heritage through their linguistic and musical talents performing traditional Italian songs and poetry. Presented by Italian For Toddlers, Inc, the event benefited NOIAW's Scholarship and Student Exchange Program to assist in the educational advancement of Italian American Women pursuing degrees in a wide range of fields.
"It is my greatest honor to showcase the preschool and young students from my program in one of the most magical settings in New York City. It is a testament to their hard work and to their families who have encouraged them to embrace the Italian language and culture for many reasons; heritage, intellectual stimulation and nurturing citizens of the world" says Italian for Toddlers' Founder, Patrizia Saraceni Corman. "It is the very same reason I developed the program for my son."
The concert is open to the public.
